What is Ella doing now?

I wanted to share a couple of pictures of Ella. These are recent pictures of her. Here is the update on her. At the Doctors on Monday, Jan. 21st she weighed 10 lbs and 3 ozs. The doctor was very pleased with her weight gain. She is still way behind, but doing great!! The first pictures is a tummy time picture, of course this was before to decided that she didn't like tummy time and started screaming. We are trying to do 15 mins in the morning and 15 mins. in the afternoon, but she hated it and we have to set a timer and hope she doesn't start screaming before the timer goes off!! The last picture is of her sleeping. I love to watch her sleep. She is so peaceful. She sleeps with her hands behind her head and I think that is so cute!! Well enjoy the pictures and I will post again real soon with new pictures!!

What do you Mean it SNOWED in Alabama?

Yes, On Jan. 19th it SNOWED in Alabama. This was Baylee's second snow and Ella's first snow. It snowed 6 years ago when Baylee was 9 months old. Baylee had a ball out in the snow. She loved it. Ella really didn't have much to say about it, so I'm not sure if you liked it as much as Baylee (HA HA!!) It only snowed about 1/2 inch, but we really didn't care how much snow we got, we are just happy we got to see some of that white stuff!! Enjoy the snow pictures!!

Baylee's Missing Tooth!!

Well on Jan. 10th
Baylee lost her first tooth. If you have children who have lost a tooth you already know the tooth fairy is paying a lot these days for teeth. When I would lose a tooth I think I would get .25 a tooth. She has gone up on her price of teeth. Baylee got three dollars for her tooth. Here are a couple of pictures of Baylee's missing tooth!! She was so proud that she pulled her own tooth out. She better be glad she pulled it out, because I sure wasn't going to pull it out. Enjoy the pictures!!

Well we had a great Christmas. It was a very special Christmas for us. Last Christmas 2006 I announced that we were going to have a baby. This Christmas 2007 our miracle baby had arrived. Baylee got lots of toys and loved the clothes that she got. Some of the thing is got were: Polly Pockets, I-DOG (with clothes and a purse), Fisher Price Digital art studio for the computer, and a printer for her computer. Ella got the supersaucer, a couple of little toys, and some bath toys. Christmas was great this year. We spent Christmas Eve at my mom's and then went home for the night so Santa could come. On Christmas day we got up and went back to mom's to open presents over there. We went to Lee's mom on New Years Eve. All in All we had a great and VERY BLESSED Christmas. This was such a special Christmas.

The NICU Christmas Party

On Dec. 16th, 2007 we attended the NICU Christmas party. Santa was there to see the babies. We had so much fun and were able to see two of our very special nurses Mrs. Melissa and Mrs. Michelle. If you don't already know, these two people have a very place in our hearts!! Both of these nurses were our support while Ella stayed in the NICU those 44 days. Mrs. Melissa was Ella's nurse the first 6 days of her life and Mrs. Michelle was the bossy nurse that made me do everything when I was there such as take her temp., change her diaper, and give Ella her bottle. I fell in love with these two people and as it turned out BOTH of them were in the delivery room/OR when Ella was delivered. They were the first to put their hands on my precious angel. I still talk to them all the time and take Ella to see them. I have posted some pictures of the party. I have also posted pictures of Mrs. Michelle (top) and Mrs. Melissa (bottom). Enjoy!!

Ella's First Halloween and Baylee's sixth Halloween!!

Here are some pictures of the girl's on Halloween. This was Baylee's 6th halloween and Ella's First. Baylee as usual loved Trick or Treating, Ella on the other hand spent her first Halloween sleeping. She missed all the Trick or Treating. Baylee as the beautiful Cinderella and Ella was a sweet pea!! She is sure my Sweet Pea!! Enjoy!

About The McKenzie's so far!!

I just wanted to share about us so far. Well, Lee and I married in March of 1996. On March 3, 2001 Baylee Renee was born. She was 5 lbs and 13 ozs. We thought she was so small. She was 4 weeks early. Then on July 19, 2007 Ella Marie was born. Now she was small, let me rephrase that she was tiny. She weighed 1 lb and 14 ozs. She stayed in the hospital 44 long days. She was 6 weeks early. Well that is where I would like to start my blog. I'm going to start posting updates on here so you can watch Baylee and Ella Grow up and keep up with our family. Enjoy. I have posted a couple of pictures of the day Ella was born.
